🎯 $50 donation = 1 entry to see Dr. Tamir ride
💥 Free bull rides available for all guests

A Special Update from Rocio

For the update, I have taken and passed my first board exam, Step 1, and am now on the clerkship part of med school. Honestly, studying for that exam has been the most difficult time of school so far, there were many preparation sources/materials that I had to budget for and studying over 8 hours every day was quite a lot. I prayed every day to ensure that I would be able to take the exam well prepared and without too much anxiety. Now, I'm on week 3 of my internal medicine rotation at the hospital and have been here pretty much every day from 6am to 6pm, so do let everyone know I have been a bit sleep deprived. Currently, I'm on a semi-elective part of my rotation with the heme/onc team at the Banner hospital and have had valuable experiences in the treatment and management of patient care within the hospital when cancer patients are very ill. It has been difficult but rewarding to get to know them and hear their perspectives on the future and what truly matters to them. I have seen people that still want to fight and others that have made peace with their prognosis and feel spiritually prepared for what is to come. Despite how hard medical school has been, I continue to be grateful for the opportunity that this scholarship granted me and to your team for being so kind towards me. I have also attached my ERAS pictures taken by the school.

Best regards,
